My wife has severe RA and always had a hard time using/holding small items like paring knives until we purchased these knives. They are well balanced, big enough to do the job yet small enough to maneuver and the handle is somewhat larger than normal plus it has a soft "grippy" feel that holds the knife softly in your hand. I do not have RA and I use them too. They are that good.
